Visit Harcourt Arboretum

Booking Information

You can buy a ticket on the door on the day of your visit. We recommend that you pre-book online during busy periods, particularly if travelling by car as we have limited parking spaces. Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable; we cannot amend these over the phone, so please take care when selecting the day and time. You can explore the Arboretum virtually with our virtual visit.

Insight Tours at the Arboretum

Everyone is welcome to join these free tours on the first Wednesday of every month. They're a unique opportunity for Arboretum staff to share the site's latest developments, and for visitors to give their thoughts and opinions, as well as to ask questions. They run from 1.30pm to 3pm and no fee or booking is required for the Insight Tours, just turn up.

Closure Notices

Occasionally there are closures to parts of our site for general maintenance, education groups, and events. Please call our office in advance of your visit if you would like to check a specific date, or click here to see a list of scheduled closures.

Facilities and access

On site

Add something special to your visit…. From picnic blankets woven from recycled wool to traditional toys and kits for budding botanists, or maybe a good book to relax and enjoy in a shady spot beneath the trees, all are available in our unique pop-up shop next to the ticket office.

Toilets

The Lodge toilets at the Arboretum are closed; temporary toilets (including an accessible toilet) are open for public use and are located at the top of the car park. This is subject to change.

Access

Detailed access information is available here. Dogs are not permitted at the Arboretum, with the exception of registered assistance dogs (these may be required to wear an identification coat or marker on their lead or harness).

Food and Drink

Visitors are very welcome to bring picnics with them; there are plenty of benches and picnic blankets for sale in the pod shop.

Horsebox Coffee Co

Horsebox Coffee Co is now closed.

They will be back in the spring serving their ethical, sustainable & locally roasted coffee, with a choice of beans and brews to choose from.

Alongside other delicious barista prepared drinks, their legendary brownies and sweet treats from various local specialist bakers.
