Oxford Botanic Garden is the UK’s oldest botanic garden and occupies a world-class position in terms of its history and academic location.
Founded in 1621 the Garden is committed to educating people about the importance of plants, to help conserve plants from around the world, and to conduct and support teaching and research within the University and beyond.
Harcourt Arboretum was acquired by the University of Oxford in 1947 and has been part of Oxford Botanic Garden since 1963.
It contains the best collection of trees in Oxfordshire including some of the world’s rarest species, set within 130 acres of historic Picturesque landscape.
Together the Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum are an incredible resource for research, education, conservation and inspiration for a new generation of botanists.
